Weekend Wrap

How sad that most of my posts lately are about the weekend rather than during the week. We've actually had another BIG change in our life that I completely forgot to post about last week. Jeremy changed jobs! He went to the current company he was working for because he didn't feel like they were paying him what he was worth. When the company resisted a raise, Jeremy went out to another company in town that was eagerly looking for someone with Jeremy's qualifications and all too happy to pay him more. It is a huge blessing, and comes to us at a perfect time since the baby is coming soon and I will not be getting any hours in for a few months, and then very few hours in after that. (We will see how I can do occasionally "working from home" with 2 kids! I really don't know what I'm in for!)
So, our insurance JUST changed which means that the hospital I need to deliver at changed. Our insurance is better too though so it's worth the last minute inconvenience!
Last Wednesday, after work, Jeremy and I took Jack just a mile down the subdivision street to a little lake (glorified pond). We went out in the canoe and tried out Jack's Easter present.. his Spongebob fishing pole. This fish is probably the tiniest fish I have ever seen, I think it's a baby rainbow trout. Regardless of it's lack of size, Jack was thrilled! Jeremy has been even happier though, because all week Jack has been telling him that he wants to go fishing again!

I have a doctor appt. on Wednesday.. I will give an update if there's any news. My mom is at girl's camp this week since she is the Young Woman's President and is really pushing me to have the baby this week so she can have an "out" and come home early:) Of course, her counselor has warned me against such a situation... but the swollen ankles are speaking louder. I'm ready for this baby ANY time now!

How cute that he was able to catch a tiny fish. That's awesome about the pay raise! What a blessing!

I hear ya on the "ready for the baby" thing...

That fishing trip looks like so much fun! I love fishing, but hubby doesn't really love it, so we don't do it (because I don't eat the fish - just like to catch and release...).

Congrats on the job change - what a blessing!

I can't believe you are so close to delivering! You can't even tell that your pregnant in that canoe picture!! UUGGHH....You ALWAYS take good pictures though.

Make sure you call me when it happens! So you had to change Hospitals huh? Are you delivering in Anchorage? I didn't think they had a hospital in Wasilla...but what do i know...when I lived there I was so consumed in that high school phase where the world revolved around me...so I guess I wouldn't have even known there was a hospital or not out there!

That is too funny about that tiny fish! But I bet Jack was so excited about it! As Whitney would say "it's just his size!"

Call me sometime so we can catch up!

I love your new blog header! You are such a cute mom. That apron is darling. I bought one for myself for mother's day. Even though I don't cook. Everyone needs a cute apron. I was hoping it would inspire me. I bet your mom loved it! Good luck with the new baby. I am so excited for you. That is a fun time :)
