A few of you have asked.. YES, it's getting cold here. Not freezing, but in the lower 50s most days. Alaska is notorious for 2 seasons (winter, summer) but we do have a few weeks where the trees have turned their colors and havent lost their leaves yet. It's so beautiful out right now!
We had a great weekend!
Friday, we met with the builder we think we're going to use, we're getting SO excited about the whole building experience. We're breaking ground in the spring and the builder said about 4-5 months to build which means we'll be in our house next year at this time, yeaah!!
Saturday, the boys and I bundled up and went to my little brother's football game.
Jeremy went fishing on the Kenai and had a good time until he lost his brand new Cabelas fly pole that I got him for Christmas last year. He had the pole in a holder while he was rowing the raft and it got caught in some low-hanging branches that eventually dropped it into the river, never to be seen again. Sad day, but still better than a day of work.
Yesterday, we went out to my parent's property and staked out the exact placement of the cabin. We are getting so excited for that project to start as well!

I love football in the fall. I can only imagine how excited you must be for your new home!!! That is SO cool! Keep us posted on all the details.
It's fun seeing you guys all bundled up. :) We're JUST starting to think about breaking our jeans & long pants out! No jackets yet, though. Man, I want to visit Alaska one day...
So fun - I think it drops to about 50 here too - the baby looks so sweet - is it a star outfit? I've seen something similar to it - sooooooo cute.
Sounds like fun - can't wait to see the outline of what the cabin will look like!!!
